August News 2014 – No. 3

Thank you for your ongoing support of the Rescue Mission for Children. This is the Seventh of a regular newsletter to keep you informed of what’s happening at the Centre. Each newsletter I will share a little of the journey one child has had before they joined us. We decided to take the children out at Chiangrai day market as a new experience for the children. The children saw so many shops and stores, their eyes were wide open to see so many goods for sale. The children got the chance to see so many people on the street along the footpath where people sell fresh food. The children chose to have sausages, sticky rice and northern pork mince salad, then we went to the flower park right in the middle of the city and had dinner over there. We sat on the path and shared the city evening sunset. It was a great experience for the children to see the city lifestyle.

Roof sheet replacement: Through the annual Monsoon storm season this year, some years are more severe than other years, the roof sheets got taken off from the roofs right through the Akha Academy. We urge you to consider the urgent need of these projects and help. Thank you for those of you who will see this as an opportunity to bless the children and enable the children to have a proper home and shelter. We cannot express enough of our appreciation for you help and assistance for the children.
