Volunteer Dining Room Maintenance Project

Project Description:

We dedicated the very first building we built on the Academy site to remain authentic to the Akha culture, the bamboo and grass roof hut. The Akha heritage and culture is something we emphasise for the children to never forget as to who they are and to have the confidence of their Akha identity.

Today we use this building as a volunteer dining room. The Bamboo roof frame and the grass roof sheeting were damaged in the recent earth quake, and must be replaced.
